On August 24 2007, CARTV (previously CAAQ) has received for examination the following file: Recognition Application of Agneau de Charlevoix (PGI)

• In order to be processed, the file was transmitted to a Committee, the Comité des normes – section appellations territoriales.
• In 2007, this Committee has met twice as to deliberate over this application file: November 5th and December 7th.
• On February 8 2008, the Committee has decided to submit the file for public consultation.
• A public consultation took place from February 15th to April 14th 2008.
• On May 12 2008, the Committee took into deliberation the observations forwarded by contributors during the public consultation.
• No final decision has been yet reached as to advise the Board about the recognition by the Minister of this protected geographical indication.
