2. Purpose and Scope

These regulations provide for establishing standardization activities pertaining to developing and regularly updating a set of reference documents in order to evaluate the compliance of certifying bodies and of operations that produce agricultural and food products subject to reserved designations, taking into account that the approved reference manuals have been discussed beforehand with the users of a given designation.
